At some point midway through the fury of figuring out what one is to wear at this in-between juncture of Not Rly a Season (or at a minimum being wishy washy about committing this way or that), I amassed a selection of black pants.
Most without a zip and fly (with honorable mentions to the outliers: All Three’s
Spade
and
Noa
— the latter of which has possibly been my most worthy investment of the season) —
Rixo
jacket (mine’s a size 4, and so fab with
a choker scarf
, but for sure
this [jkt]
is the one you’re going to want),
All Three
polo (but
Donni’s henley
be good here too),
All Three
pants, Gabriela Hearst sandals, Dior bag (
Savette’s
is a great alt),
Orzo
choker scarf — fishhook earrings are
here
. I love them styled with
my ear cuff
And
Aflalo’s tried and true Tavi pant
—
She’s coming
in pink
soon (!!!). But for the black, the white stitching really breaks up the black and makes
them
a more versatile compliment to other dark colors (styled here with an
Unsubscribed
knit and
Marisa Klass
pearls). I have to say though, I cannot wait for
the pink pair
to land. Think they are delivering next week.
— so they’re (the other pants) seamless and easy to roll down into low rise pants to wear now with a cropped tee/
jacket
or
something tunic-y,
cleanly hanging over.
After the Parisian parade of color at Dior, with the slivers of it that tugged at me from Hermes and Celine too, I’m ready for a vibrant stretch of style that tests our limits with various brights (they can feel elegant, timeless, etc) but between now and then, I maintain that you can exercise a good deal of creativity without it too.
A breakdown below of 8 different pair, styled and ranked for your get-into-the-uniform-and-get-on-with-it’s pleasure.
